Mikono Salama Foundation has been working in Tanzania since 2019 to Promote girls’ education, women and youths’ empowerment by inculcating spirit of creating, seizing and grabbing opportunities also through community based interventions we help increase awareness on maternal and neonatal health by providing adequate reproductive health information to women and youths.

Managing Director

Ms. Rehema is Social Behavior Change Communication specialist with more than ten (10) years of experience in working with the community and program management

Rehema is Social Behavior Change Communication specialist with more than ten (10) years of experience in working with the community and program management around different health areas including, HIV/AIDS, Family planning, comprehensive post-abortion care, and Gender-related issues. She has experience in designing and implementing different projects focusing on women’s health and empowerment, as well as designing different social behavior change communication interventions. Rehema has a bachelor’s degree in health system management, and a Masters in Behavior change communication for health, at Muhimbili University of health and allied sciences.

MR. CHRISTOPHER MANKABA, BHSM, MPH

Monitoring, evaluation and research lead.

Mr. Mankaba Christopher is a seasoned health system manager and public health specialist with over six years of dedicated service in local government, focusing on health administration.

His wealth of experience extends to roles as a public health specialist, where he has demonstrated expertise in conducting health environmental and impact assessments. Notably, he has actively contributed to donor-
funded projects, showcasing his commitment to crucial initiatives such as the scalability of HIV/AIDS care and treatment, as well as reproductive health programs.

Mr. Mankaba aspires to play a significant role in both national and global endeavors aimed at poverty reduction, enhancing social welfare, and advancing overall public health. His multifaceted experience and dedication position him as a valuable asset in
contributing to the improvement of health systems and the well-being of communities.

MR. JOHNSON MSHANGILA, B. Pharm, MPH

Program Lead

With a radiant smile and a wealth of experience, meet Mr. Mshangila. Having a foundation in B. Pharm degree and later an MPH, where he shone as the valedictorian, he stands as a pillar of support and innovation in the world of community health.

Far beyond academic accolades he possesses a sharp mind honed by experience in project design and management as he successfully managed and motivated teams, implemented programs with meticulous
efficiency paving the way for tangible improvements in the lives of countless individuals.

His unwavering commitment to the community truly sets him apart. He is a champion for improving the lives of others, fueled by a genuine passion that radiates through his every interaction. This dedication manifests in his tireless efforts to engage with the community, understand their needs, and develop programs that
address them head-on.
